The CADL-2 assesses functional communication skills of adults with neurogenic communication disorders, including those stemming from stroke or TBI. The test examines seven areas, using 50 items:
This edition eliminates role playing, identifying environmental sounds, and some props used in the earlier edition, reducing test time. The CADL–2 was normed on a nationally stratified sample of 175 adults with neurogenic communication disorders resulting primarily from left- or right-hemisphere stroke or traumatic brain injury, and spanned the continuum of acute care down to outpatient care.
Administration and Scoring
Administration of the CADL–2 takes about 30 minutes.
