Test of Early Language Development - 3 (TELD-3)

The TELD-3 uses brief, simple tasks to assess the broad picture of a child's language development, specifically the areas of semantics, syntax, and morphology. It is used to identify language delays (compared to age-related peers), to determine a child's strengths and weaknesses in the above language areas, to track a child's progress within a remediation program, or for research studies. The TELD-3 consists of two parallel forms, each with three subtests; all manipulatives (blocks, toys, etc.) needed are included in the test kit.
Administration and Scoring
While the TELD-3 is untimed, it can be completed in 15-45 minutes, depending on the child's age and ability level. Scoring is simple and straight-forward. Test results are reported as standard scores and percentile ranks for subtests and composite scores; age-equivalents are also available for subtest scores.
