Helping Children Learn

Intervention Handouts for Use in School and at Home, 2nd ed.

Author(s): Jack A. Naglieri, PhD

Beginning with a short questionnaire to help school psychs target students’ strengths and weaknesses, Helping Children Learn provides worksheets for classroom teachers and parents to help students build academic skills, attention, self-control, listening, and memory ability. Each of the intervention handouts describes the targeted skill, tells which students might benefit, and gives easy strategies for success. Spanish translations are included for 33 of the handouts, and materials can be printed from a CD-ROM. Activities are based on the PASS theory: Planning, Attention, Simultaneous Processing, and Successive Processing.
