These picture cards can facilitate community re-entry of adult clients by improving their capacity for communication and performance of activities of daily living such as grocery shopping, dining out, transportation, and gardening. They are helpful with clients who have decreased cognitive skills produced by stroke, traumatic brain injury, dementia, or neurological involvement. Questions require clients to examine the information provided, and then use one or more cognitive and executive functions, encouraging clear verbal communication skills.
